I don't have budget and extra room for helper. Is it legal in Singapore to have helper part time with 1 hour daily without informing government?

I am living in Singapore since last 1 year. Now I have a baby. I want a helper for support but we don’t have budget and extra room for full time helper. I am thinking if any helper can come daily to my house for 1 hour and I can pay her 500 SGD per month.Is it allowed and legal in Singapore?Should I inform government about this as I heard if we hire maid we have to pay some fees to government?
