I am living and working in Singapore for past 8-10 Years and I have NRE and NRO Account in SBI Bank and HDFC Bank Bengaluru.

Now after 2 years, I have received below email from SBI in June 2023.

Now I am not able to transfer money from Account to any other Accounts.

I sent one email to SBI Customer for this and they asked me send self signed forms on email so that they can complete KYC.

Email Content: I got below email from SBI.

At the outset, we express our sincere gratitude for banking with State Bank Of India.

This is to advise you that as per the details provided by you for your NRI (NRE/NRO/FCNR(B)/RFC) account number XXXXX610694, your VISA / Work Permit has already expired. As per KYC policy of the Bank, VISA / Work Permit details need to be updated in our Bank records. We, therefore, request you to please arrange to send photocopy of relevant pages of your new VISA / Work Permit along with application to the Bank.

Standard application for updation of details and Consent form can be downloaded from our website from 'Download Forms'.

a. 'For change of any of the following personal details in the NRE/NRO account'.

b. 'Consent form for Non-Residents'.

You may submit application along with identification documents in person to your home branch or post or courier it to your home branch or Global NRI Centre (GNC).

GNC Address: State Bank of India, Global NRI Centre, 56/710, 2nd Floor, SBT Bhavan, Panampilly Nagar, Ernakulam, Kerala, India, PIN-682036

In case if you are not submitting it in person, then attestation of the documents by anyone of the following will also be required:

Judge

We look forward to receive your application along with photocopy of your new VISA / Work Permit as described above.
